Altadena Library Technology Department - Summer 2017, Fall 2017
The Altadena Library District would like to open its doors to a student interested in the library field and who would like to Intern in the Technology Department. This would be a supervised internship with the opportunity to work directly with our highly skilled Technology Supervisor.
Basic skills requirements are: Interest in computers, programs and new technology and basic computer use skills. Our Technology Supervisor is highly enthusiastic about learning while doing and is willing to work with high or low technology savvy Interns who have a strong desire to learn more about technology and its use in Libraries by patrons and staff.
Technology interns will have an opportunity to learn about, and work with, our Technology Supervisor in maintaining library computers and systems, developing appropriate program use and guidelines, 3D printing technology, virtual reality software use, and much more.
In addition, Interns may be called to assist staff with technology operating tasks, which include, but are not limited to:
Monday and Tuesday 10 am - 9 pm
Wednesday - Saturday 10 am - 6 pm
closed Sundays
