One internship is available for the Fall 2017 term.
This will primarily involve work in Bolton Hall Museum in Tujunga. https://www.littlelandershistoricalsociety.org
Learning experiences may also include scheduled activities hosted by the Society, including a Historic Home Tour, Movie Nights, National Night Out, Verdugo Hills Cemetery Tour which includes historical recreations of popular local residents, installation of exhibits, and monthly programs.
Current Museum hours available are Sunday and Tuesday 1pm-4pm, and Wednesday 5pm-8pm.

Qualifications
*Must be currently enrolled in or have completed the Library Technology Certificate Program at PCC
*Must be comfortable working with adult and child visitors, docents, and volunteers
*Knowledge of standard library practices
*Knowledge of archival practices (can train)
*Prerequisite: Coursework in cataloging, processing, and repairing books and materials
*Use Past Perfect Museum software to catalog materials (can train.)
*Ability to learn new computer program quickly
*Ability to lift 10-30lbs
*Ability to work independently
*Detail oriented and organized
Duties may include:
*Cataloging old and new books
*Cataloging archival materials
*Repair damaged books and materials using provided materials
*Assist with re-organizing library
*Assist with updating collections as needed, including re-cataloging
*May assist with the launch of projects or Museum exhibits
*Other duties as required
