Project Description
The Monrovia Public Library is committed to providing the highest quality of service to the community. Essential Duties: Under the direct supervision of a librarian supervisor, the intern may perform any or all of the following duties:

Required: Completion of LIB 101 Introduction to Library Services for Paraprofessionals and LIB 104 Technical Services: Acquisitions and Collection Development.
Recommended: Completion of LIB 105A Descriptive Cataloging.
HOURS AVAILABLE
Schedule: Interns will be required to work schedules that include days, evenings and weekends.
The Library will make every effort to work around an intern’s school schedule, although such accommodations cannot be guaranteed. An intern can only work during regular staff hours to ensure proper supervision and the opportunity to assist with a variety of duties to maximize the learning experience.
The regular staff hours are as follows-
Monday-Wednesday 9am-8pm
Thursday & Friday 9am-6pm
Saturday 12-5pm
Sunday CLOSED

Once the applications are received, HR will send all forms with “PCC Internship” in the OBJECTIVE line to me and I’ll contact them for an informal interview.
