Use this LibGuide to selected library and online resources for nursing. The "Articles" tab links to the library's databases for nursing journals and health information.

Nursing and Health Information on the Web

Health information may be written for health care practitioners or for patients. As nursing students, you should become familiar with both types of information:
Nursing Resources that provide more detailed or scholarly information for health care practitioners and Patient Resources that provide more basic, patient-oriented information.

Online information on health topics is easy to find but it may not be complete or reliable. For more about evaluating the quality and purpose of online health information see:  MacCabe K, Hull D (2014) How patients use online sources for information. Nursing Times; 110: 42, 24-25.

The resources listed below are examples of reliable health and nursing information.
