Using this guide, you will learn how to find the textbooks for your classes and get tips for keeping textbook costs down.

The PCC Library has a collection of textbooks that are available for in-library use at no cost. You can search and find out if your textbook is available from the library as a hard copy book or an ebook. If the library doesn't have your textbook, check for rental/purchase options with the PCC Bookstore.

Please reach out to a PCC librarian if you need help finding a textbook.

If the edition (year) of the book isn't the one you need, and there's a link to "See all versions," click that link.

On the search results page, take note of the status, location and call number. A book at "Circulation Desk - Reserves" (as in the picture above) may be checked out for a limited time by visiting the library's Circulation Desk. An "Available" status means it is not checked out.

Books in the Textbooks location (as in the picture below) are on the shelves in the Textbooks area across from the Circulation Desk. They are arranged in order of call number (the number that appears at the end of the location info). These books are for use in the library building only. Even when the status says "Available," someone in the library may still be using the book.
