Proxy URL generator: New Proxy Generator

This guide will turn an article link generated by a database into one that will work from off-campus.

INSTRUCTIONS

This tool reformats a link/URL to work from off-campus by adding the PCC Library's EZproxy prefix. It also updates your existing links with our new EZProxy prefix that will be required after Winter Intersession 2024.

Look at the URL you're sharing to a PCC Library database, or to a specific article/video within a database. It should start with https://pasadenacc.idm.oclc.org/login?url=

If it doesn't, you need to update the URL for off-campus use. Use the tool below to make your URL off-campus friendly.

Example:

URL that won't work off-campus:  https://www.jstor.org/stable/3299291

URL that won't work after Winter Intersession 2024: https://login.ezp.pasadena.edu/login?url=https://www.jstor.org/stable/3299291

Corrected URL after running it through the converter -- works in Spring 2024 and beyond: https://pasadenacc.idm.oclc.org/login?url=https://www.jstor.org/stable/3299291
