Q: When I check out a book, how long can I keep it?
A: Most books check out for the entire semester; textbooks and reserve items are for short-term use in the library only.
Q: How many books or other library items can I check out?
A: You can check out up to 25 library items at once!
Q: How do I get a library card?
A: Your Lancer Card ID is your library card -- be sure to bring it with you to the library! If you do not have your Lancer Card, we will also accept a valid government ID along with your student ID number.

A single search box covers our catalog of books and DVDs, as well as a large number of the periodical articles in our collection. You can search All, or you can use the tabs above the search box to narrow your search to Articles or Books.
The search box (above) includes books and media in the library's collection. To find resources in the library, you will need to use this search to find a call number which leads you to the specific item on the shelf.
First, try a Subject search to focus on books about your topic. Keep the subjects fairly broad. Select 'Advanced Search' and then select Subject field from the drop-down menu options.

If subject searches return few or no results, try your terms in a basic keyword search. You can narrow your search by entering several specific terms. Note that you do not have to enter 'stop words' (and, the, with, to...) - just enter the keywords only.
