Finding Books

The PCC catalog search (above) includes a database of books, media and course reserves located in the library's collection. Begin a book search by clicking on the Books tab. For any book title, click on Availability or Editions and Formats to take down the call number which leads you to the specific item on the shelf.

Use Advanced Search to select a specific field (eg. title field or subject field). To find information about a person, use the Subject Field (select from the drop down menu). To find information on a topic, you can look in the Details section of any book listing to identify library subject headings, then in a new search, select the Subject field and type in the subject heading. You can search for an item by title if you select the Title field from the drop down menu. Other search fields include Author and ISBN.
