The College Music Society promotes music teaching and learning, musical creativity and expression, research and dialogue, and diversity and interdisciplinary interaction. A consortium of college, conservatory, university, and independent musicians and scholars interested in all disciplines of music, the Society provides leadership and serves as an agent of change by addressing concerns facing music in higher education.

NAfME, among the world's largest arts education organizations, marked its centennial in 2007 as the only association that addresses all aspects of music education. Through membership of more than 75,000 active, retired, and preservice music teachers, and with 60,000 honor students and supporters, NAfME serves millions of students nationwide through activities at all teaching levels, from preschool to graduate school.

The Jazz Education Network is dedicated to building the jazz arts community by advancing education, promoting performance and developing new audiences.

The mission of the MTNA is to advance the value of music study and music making to society and to support the professionalism of music teachers. Includes information on membership, National conferences, access to "American Music Teacher" as well as the MTNA e-journal, etc
